Description:
Southern Utah University’s Library is looking for a driven Graphic Design student to support our design team. In this role, you will help create dynamic print, web, and multimedia materials that represent the SUU Library. This is a hands-on opportunity to build your professional portfolio, gain agency-style experience, and potentially earn internship credit (pending departmental approval).
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead graphic designers in producing print collateral, web graphics, and multimedia assets.
- Manage projects from initial concept through final production, ensuring brand consistency across channels.
- Handle basic image manipulation, ad creation, and file preparation for print and digital distribution.
- Balance multiple project deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Current SUU Graphic Design student (Junior or Senior standing). Prior design experience through coursework or professional projects.
- Software Proficiency: Strong skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. (Familiarity with After Effects is a plus).
- Design Fundamentals: Solid grasp of typography, layout, color theory, image resolution, and print/web design standards.Professional Skills: Clear communication, strong time management, and the flexibility to handle changing project needs.
- Scheduling: Flexible availability during business hours. Work-study eligibility is preferred, but all qualified students are encouraged to apply.
